Question:
The bars that indicate the size of logfiles on the calendar pages have turned an unusual color.

Answer:
This is most likely a browser cache problem. Logout of ConsoleWorks, close your browser, clear the browser cache, and log in again. The colors will return to green for the standard log file directory and red for the alternate log file directory?

Question:
Are there any tools to make mass changes to items like severities or priorities?

Answer:
Yes. The user performing mass changes must be assigned to the profile that holds the Architect privilege (which may only be assigned to one profile at a time, and never to console_manager.) Holders of the architect privilege will see an extra entry "Mass Change" in the Admin menu.

Question:
ConsoleWorks LMF won't start, and there's a message "gethostbyname(localhost): 1"

Answer:
Most likely, your local machine cannot translate the name "localhost." If the command "nslookup localhost" fails, please correct this situation. If localhost translates normally, please contact TDi support so that we may investigate.

Question:
How do Extended Wildcards differ from Standard Wildcards?

Answer:
If two different input strings match the same Standard Wildcard string, the resulting events are eligible for rollup. Different input strings that match the same Extended Wildcard pattern will not be rolled up, but will become another instance of the same event.

Hint: Extended wildcards perform approximately ten times faster than regular expressions. If you need more capability than standard wildcards can provide, check whether extended wildcards will suffice before moving on to regular expressions.
